"Wentworth" Season 5 may still see Bea Smith alive. The seahorse scene in the Season 4 Finale supposedly hints to Danielle Cormack's return.
One particular flashback scene in the Season 4 Finale supposedly hints to Bea Smith's fate in "Wentworth" Season 5-the seahorse scene. Fans speculated that the seahorse symbolizes the link that Allie and Bea have with each other.
To recap, the Season 4 Finale opened with a flashback to the seahorse scene in Episode 11,"Eleventh Hour." In this scene, Bea Smith and Allie Novak are lying on the ground and looking up at the clouds. Bea pointed out a group of clouds that look like a seahorse. Allie responded with an interesting fact that seahorses link their tails so they do not lose each other. They then link their pinkies to mimic the creatures' tails.
One fan pointed out in Reddit that this scene alone is a clue that Bea Smith is still alive in "Wentworth" Season 5. The fan pointed out that right before Bea passed out in the Season 4 Finale, she looked up at the clouds. She must have seen a seahorse or seahorses link their tails.
Moreover, the Season 4 Finale saw Allie Novak woke up, just when her friends thought she died. Following the seahorse analysis, then it is supposedly likely that Allie and Bea will reunite in "Wentworth" Season 5. After all, Allie is alive and so should Bea.
Meanwhile, there are other speculations that Danielle Cormack will still play Bea Smith in Wentworth Season 5. However, she would only have minimal screen time. This is supposedly to align with Bea's tragic encounter with Joan Ferguson in the Season 4 Finale.
Past speculations for "Wentworth" Season 5 claimed Bea Smith is recuperating from her stab wounds. Meanwhile, others claimed that she is in a coma and this is why she would only appear in later episodes. Regardless, there are only assumptions. Fans will know for sure whether Bea Smith is alive and Danielle Cormack returns when the installment airs in 2017.
