Key Cast Leaving Too?
It is not only the audience that has left “Hawaii Five-0" Season 7. The exit of Dr. Max Bergman (Masi Oka), the chief medical examiner of Honolulu county, from a main character to a recurring role, only further fuels rumor that the show would be axed soon. The character got married to Sabrina (Rumer Willis) and would move to Africa, but in real life, Masi Oka has a lot of business in Japan and Los Angeles which makes his regular travels to Hawaii difficult.
According to CinemaBlend, Masi Oka makes around 18 round trips to Hawaii in a year. In episode 13 of “Hawaii Five-0” Season 7, he and wife Sabrina will leave for Africa.
Producer Belies Rumor Of Axing
Even Steven “Steve” McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) the show’s lead character who is lieutenant commander of the U.S. Navy Reserve, reportedly would also exit “Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 soon because of actor’s health issue, according to TVGuide. However, Peter Lenkov, one of the three executive producers of the series, quashed speculations of ending the series as long as there are followers.
“If Alex elects not to come back, that’s obviously going to be his choice. But we’re moving forward as if the show’s going to keep going,” Lenkov said. Spoilers for “Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 Episode 10 say the show would focus on Detective Sergeant Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan) and his sister Bridget (Missy Peregrym) which would provide viewers of the show a better understanding of Danny’s family and past.
