Hosted by The Talk co-host Aisha Tyler, Ubisoft used its E3 2013 press briefing to premier next-gen titles The Crew and Tom Clancy's The Division.
Developed by Ubisoft Reflections (Driver) The Crew is an open world and online persistent racing game that takes place in an actual representation of the entire United States.
Car customization will be huge, according to Ubisoft. Any cars can be customized to fit different race conditions like road or off-road. The demonstration showed a current generation Chevrolet Camaro tuned into off road vehicles. Vehicles even can be stripped apart completely and rebuilt.
Players will form four man crews to complete races, challenges and missions; all which can be done in both single and multiplayer modes. The Crew's plot involves infiltrating a criminal organization in order to take it down. One mission showcased involved a four player crew attempting to take down an armored vehicle.
This comes as previous rumors reported lint The Crew to a more simulation style in vein with Forza and Gran Turismo.
Ubisoft closed their press briefing by revealing MMORPG and third-person shooter hybrid Tom Clancy's The Division. The game takes place in an open world rendition of New York ruined by a pandemic. Tom Clancy's The Division will also feature tablet play in order to help players in party.
Something a little bit more kid-friendly was Rabbids Invasion, an "Interactive TV Show" for Xbox One. The show will work like a Saturday morning animated television show where players can actually interact with each episode that are slated to air on Nickelodeon. During the trailer presentation, one scene involved shooting at and screaming at the screen with fingers.
Kicking off its presentation was the announcement of Rocksmith 2014 that looks to feature some form of Kinect connectivity meaning a possible release on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Ubisoft didn't forget current gen consoles with new trailers of Rayman Legends, South Park: Stick of Truth and Just Dance 2014 that's also launching on all platforms.
Trails fans were treated to the announcement for Trails Fusion for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Playstation 4 along with Trails Frontier for mobile platforms.
Expect GameNGuide to cover Ubisoft's booth tomorrow. Stay tuned.
