After more than two decades, reports that "Beetlejuice 2" finally happening are going around the newsroom. There have been discussions every now and then about Tim Burton's comic horror sequel's release but nothing has been official until now. Can "Beetlejuice" stars Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder finally confirm it?
"Beetlejuice 2" confirmation was like a ride on a roller coaster. Last March, Tim Burton was reported to have said that "Beetlejuice 2" is confirmed, though people around the team swiftly denied the claim. Two months later, Tim Burton reportedly confirmed again that he really wants to do "Beetlejuice 2" but nothing is concrete just yet.
Last August, Winona Ryder was reported saying to Seth Meyers that she can confirm "Beetlejuice 2." So, fans are asking - is Tim Burton's comic horror sequel confirmed or not? Perhaps Michael Keaton, who portrayed the role of Betelgeuse, the hyperactive ghost, can confirm.
However, there are rumours that Michael Keaton is no longer interested to do "Beetlejuice 2" after it has been deferred for so long. In an interview, "The Founder" actor was asked if he is still interested to do "Beetlejuice 2." Michael Keaton said that he has been asked with that question for the last ten years. He seems bothered why reporter should think he is even thinking about it.
Michael Keaton sounds a little weary of the whole thing about "Beetlejuice 2." He said that whoever is in charge of giving the green light to the release of "Beetlejuice 2" is not doing anything. It is neither his fault nor Tim Burton. And since nothing has been confirmed, Winona Ryder reprising her role cannot be confirmed as well.
If "The Founder" actor will no longer reprise his role in "Beetlejuice 2," do you think Tom Burton's comic horror sequel will still be the same even without Michael Keaton? If not Michael, who do you think will be the best star to portray Betelgeuse in "Beetlejuice 2?" Comment below and tell us what you think.
