Currently airing its third season, CW's TV series "The Flash" has a recurring role to make the story become more interesting. The new cast member was landed by none other than our very own Greg Grunberg.
Mashable reported that Greg Grunberg will play the character of Detective Tom Patterson, a very committed officer with a certain goal of protecting the city from threatening metas. In his Twitter, Grunberg sends his excitement about getting a badass role on "The Flash" and fans can expect something unique from the "Heroes" actor.
Aside from "The Flash", Greg Grunberg was best known as Matt Parkman in the NBC Television series "Heroes". He also starred in several television shows and movies such as "Alias", "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Star Trek Beyond".
Grunberg's character will appear on "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 7, entitled "Killer Frost" which will air this week. The episode will show some consequences connected to one of the major stories of the season about the slow transformation of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) into a Killer Frost. She uses her power to save Barry (Grant Gustin), however, her mother predicted that she will eventually unleash her inner Killer Frost. Dr. Alchemy was looking for Killer Frost, kidnapping Julian (Tom Felton) and battling The Flash and Vibe (Carlos Valdes) while Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and H.R. (Tom Cavanagh) have a serious talk.
Kevin Smith, co-host of Greg Grunberg in "Geeking Out", will direct "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 7, "Killer Frost". Smith was also the director of a season two episode, "The Runaway Dinosaur", which became one of the strongest episodes of "The Flash".
