There have been reports online that a potential "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" may soon happen again with a new set of characters and storyline. However, Capcom recently slams all rumors surrounding "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" in the future and Game Producer Ryota Niitsuma also has something to say in that matter.
Capcom & game producer comments about 'Marvel vs. Capcom 4'
Recent reports states that Capcom never thought about making "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" at all. The game studios added that an official announcement will be made when Capcom is ready to deliver the product. This remark from Capcom initially confirms that "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" won't be happening until further notice.
Furthermore, Capcom didn't state why "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" will not happen in the near future, but many speculate that Marvel and Capcom may have a disagreement in licensing issues. However, there is still hope for a "Marvel vs. Capcom 4", when a few years back, Capcom struck a deal with Marvel to bring back "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" as a downloadable title before producing "Marvel vs. Capcom 3."
Meanwhile, game producer, Ryota Niitsuma also stated that there's nothing happening on that front on a post from the producer's Twitter account. Niitsuma added that there is little to no action on the part of "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" for now and the producer would love to work on another game title for the Marvel - Capcom crossover fighting game.
For now, fans can only hope of what the future holds for a "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" game title. In the meantime, fans can enjoy "Untimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" in PS3 and Xbox 360. For more "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" news and updates, stay tuned to Gamenguide!
