Meizu X Release Date, Specs, Features, News & Update: Meizu’s New Smartphone Has Helio P20 Chipset, Arriving This Month; More Details Revealed!

Chinese smartphone company Meizu is reportedly launching a new phone that will have a MediaTek Helio processor on board. The company has also sent out invites to a media event happening on Nov. 30 and it is believed to be the venue for the launch of this new rumored smartphone, currently dubbed as Meizu X.

At the moment, there are no official details regarding the Meizu X, except that the company teased that Helio processor is involved. The invite only contained details of the event and a teaser image of Helio. Speculation is rife that the new smartphone will run on a MediaTek Helio chipset. While MediaTek already unveiled the Helio X30, this processor won't be available until 2017. That said, it is expected that Meizu X will have a Helio X20 processor, PhoneRadar reported.

In other reports, it is suggested that the Helio X20 won't be likely part of the new device since Meizu X is rumored to be a high-end smartphone model. This suggests that the phone could have a beefed up processor instead, the Helio X25. Since, details are still scarce fans should take the reports with a pinch of salt. There's also a possibility that Meizu will launch a different smartphone at the event.

Aside from Meizu X, Meizu M5 Note is also rumored to make a debut at the Nov. 30 event. So far, leaks suggest that this phablet is rumored to run on a Helio P10 SoC and feature a full HD display. Also on board is a 3 GB RAM paired with 32 GB of memory. As for the camera, the M5 Note is expected to have a 13-megapixel main camera on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. It will also reportedly ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Follow GamenGuide for more updates on Meizu X.
