After the showing of "Westworld" episode eight, "Trace Decay" was released this week, many "Westworld" theories surfaced from fans - some of which answered lingering questions about the series while others invited more speculations about what's to come for season two.
One of the most controversial fan theories formulated about the HBO original series, "Westworld," was the role of Bernard, Maeve, and the Man in Black and what they were all going under with respect to which is real and which is only a dream, reported TIME. After the show's latest episode was released, it was uncovered that "Westworld" theories may be more focused on what Arnold may bring for the system-gamers at the center of the maze.
Other "Westworld" theories suggested that Maeve may be manipulating the system as she was seen whispering voice commands to other hosts. It was revealed that she was more aware of her script-flipping that she can already recall at which moments she and her daughter were manipulated by the Man in Black. This further suggested an idea that Maeve may have superpowers due to showing signs of recall.
In other news, The Verge reported that Ford may play a larger role with respect to keeping Bernard off an incoming trap. "Westworld" theories revealed that Ford may be the one to save Bernard from falling prey to the game of present from past if only he stirred away from the memories. In fact, when he admitted to him about his robot self, he showed that he may be the source of information for Bernard in the coming episodes to come.
Furthermore, "Westworld" theories also suggested that there would be more second-guessing for future episodes to come as the fundamental laws on which the show was created shifted as frequently as possible. Would the audience ever get a hold of the sense of all the plots?
