There are rumors that the Meizu X will officially launch on Nov. 30, 2016 at the company's event. The upcoming Meizu X will reportedly be more powerful than the recently released Meizu MX6.
VR-Zone revealed that the Meizu X may be unveiled at the Chinese manufacturer's event. The handset will reportedly be powered by a MediatekHelio chipset. However, not a lot of details about the Meizu X has been leaked, except that the device to be featured at the company event will be named as such.
Meizu X Release Date & Specs: High-End Smartphone Powered By Helio X20 SoC?
According to speculations, the Meizu X will be a high-end smartphone, which will rank higher than the Meizu MX6. The upcoming device may be powered by the same Helio X20 SoC that the MX6 has or a slightly more powerful Helio X25 chipset. A Helio X30 in the Meizu X is unlikely, since the first set of the processors are not expected to become available until June 2017.
GSM Arena reported that the Meizu MX6 was released in July 2016, featuring a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with 403 ppi, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front shooter. The smartphone also has a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a 3060mAh battery.
Meizu X More Powerful Than Meizu MX6?
If the Meizu X is indeed more powerful than the Meizu MX6, it is expected to feature more high-end components. The upcoming smartphone may have higher RAM and internal memory, as well as a better camera setup. It may also be priced higher than the MX6, which currently retails at around $400.
There are also rumors that the Meizu X will be introduced by another device at the company event on November 30. There are speculations that the Meizu M5 Note will be featured as well, which is powered by a MediatekHelio P10 chipset, full HD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.
The device may run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. After its official introduction, the Meizu X may start shipping early in 2017. More updates and details on the Meizu X are expected soon.
