"Supergirl" Season 2 introduced several new characters that ranged from protagonists to villains, as well as plot developments that opened a few new story arcs. Recently, Jeremy Jordan shared his thoughts about his character Winn's partnership with the new vigilante hero Guardian, as well as a potential new romance between two superheroes.
Avid fans of "Supergirl" witnessed Kara's (Melissa Benoist) journey and how she became a strong young woman who now looks after a potential superhero namely Mon El (Chris Wood). Earlier episodes of the CW show's Season 2 featured Kara and Mon El's initial animosity towards each other that eventually grew into an uneasy friendship.
"Supergirl" Season 2 episode 7 showed viewers a glimpse of Mon El's growing interest in Superman's cousin. Aired on Nov. 21, the said episode titled "The Darkest Place" featured a moment between Kara and Mon El where he revealed his vulnerable side to Supergirl. At the end of the episode, the Daxam alien even asked Winn (Jordan) and James (Mehcad Brooks), also known as the Guardian, about Kara's love life.
Winn was also one of the characters who noticed Mon El's growing feelings for Kara. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jordan commented that Winn may not be receptive to the potential romance blooming between the two characters. Given Winn's earlier romantic feelings for Kara, he may have a hard time accepting that Kara may eventually end up together with the Daxam alien.
The actor added, "Winn never really dealt with his feelings for Kara, and they never really dealt with it together ... but I think he's not going to be super excited for a happy new couple of Mon-El and Kara if that's what it ends up becoming."
Apart from Kara and Mon El's potential new romance, Jordan also talked about an impending fall-out between Winn and Kara given his character's involvement with the Guardian. The actor shared in an interview with TVLine that Supergirl will soon realize that Winn kept a big secret from her.
