Fans are going to discover more about Cookie's past as Fox's "Empire" will soon reveal the secret about her father. Her son Jamal is undergoing post-traumatic stress disorder for falling off the music scene after getting shot by Freda Gatz, as seen in a sneak peak for Season 3.
Jamal will be helping himself to recover in "Empire" Season 3, and he will use Cookie's old childhood videos that he found for the song he is working on. A post via Yahoo stated that Cookie angrily confronts Jamal after finding out that he dug it. However, after their confrontation Jamal understands his mother.
The video about Cookie's past surfaces about her sisters asking her to face the truth about their father. TV News And Views also added that Cookie turns to her sister Candace reprised by Vivica Fox for help regarding her plan to have a family dinner together with Angelo's mom Diana Dubois played by Phylicia Rashad.
