There could be a major surprise on the cards as a recent online job resume has shown that a yet to be named title is in the works at Red Storm Entertainment, the folks responsible for developing titles such as Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon and Rainbow 6 and currently working on Rainbow 6: Patriots.
The online resume belongs to senior character artist Brian Spencer of Red Storm Entertainment and clearly shows that the company is currently working on an unannounced title that will be scheduled for a release on either Xbox One or PS4, or both, once the development is completed.
On a similar note, Red Storm’s official page also indicates that the company is currently hiring for a number of positions for its “next AAA, cutting edge multiplayer game”. One of these positions the company’s hiring for is a Game Play Engineer, for an “action-adventure shooter on current- and next-gen game consoles, and PC”.
While it’s not really clear as to what this game will be or what its setting will be, it could be assumed that the company is already working on the next Rainbow 6 title or maybe making a separate port for the Patriots for the Xbox One or PS4.
As far as Rainbow 6: Patriots is concerned, the game will see Team Rainbow being called to New York to deal with a terrorist group that calls itself the 'True Patriots.' These highly-trained and well-organized True Patriots have now styled themselves as a populist militia group and have decided to act as judge, jury and executioner on behalf of the victims of Wall Street corruption.
“Terrorism has evolved, and so has Rainbow 6. In Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots, all the team play, tactics, and realism that fans of the series love have been coupled with an exciting new narrative direction,” said David Sears, creative director at Ubisoft. “This adds an unprecedented level of humanity that will make Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots an extremely tense and immersive experience.”
The company also states that apart from the immersive single player campaign, “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots will introduce a huge variety of new innovative co-op and multi-player experiences. Players will be rewarded for working as a team and mastering the game’s new features that enhance communication and tactical execution between teammates.”
Rainbow 6: Patriots is currently set for a late 2013 release.
