According to Yahoo Lifestyle, "Moana" is a movie that transcends beyond race, as the main character deviates from the stereotyped white color complexion. This is the second time that Disney featured a colored character, the first was the African-American princess Tiana in "The Princess and The Frog".
"Moana's" mystical moment unfolds as she is staring into a wide and endless space filled with seawater and the sea creatures surrounding her. Then, there's the song "Where We Are" and music that makes the scene more dramatic for the princess being given a glimpse of her destiny.
The song "How Far I'll Go", reinforces the longing to go far beyond what is visible and reachable. The song has been created by Lin-Manuel Miranda and the music is the composition of Disney's music guru Mark Mancina for "Moana".
