The Xbox One Scorpio is a total overhaul of the Xbox One whereas the PS4 Pro has taken more of a relatively traditional approach. This is a major difference between the two consoles. Both the consoles are enthralling and exciting and belong to a new paradigm in console gaming.
Technical director at VooFoo Studios, Mark Williams, recently talked to gamingbolt and explained his take on the two consoles and the approaches taken by Sony and Microsoft. He believes Xbox One Scorpio will bring more power to the table and this will help developers a lot. It would also mean that more and more games on Scorpio will hit 4K @ 60fps.
"Scorpio definitely has a significant advantage in terms of memory bandwidth, so we'll definitely be seeing higher fidelity games on there," Williams stated. However, he also revealed that it has been tough to reach 60fps on Xbox One than on PS4. Xbox One Scorpio is set to change that. With Xbox Scorpio, all games that run on Xbox One and Xbox One S will play on the new console. Moreover, the visual quality will get significantly better. The Xbox One Scorpio will make its way to the store shelves sometime in 2017 holiday season, writes Wccftech.
Recent reports suggest that users of Xbox One Scorpio will be able to enjoy top-class graphics only at a pocket-burning price. Microsoft Xbox's head, Phil Spencer, recently stated that Xbox One Scorpio will be priced way above that of Xbox One S. Tech enthusiasts believe the Scorpio console will be also be priced way above the PS4 Pro.
Spencer said in a video that even though the pricing of the Xbox One Scorpio has not been revealed yet, the developer is making sure that the console meets all demands of the premium consumer. This definitely suggests a high price too! The Xbox One Scorpio is expected to sport hi-fidelity VR, true 4K gaming, 6 Teraflops of power, 320 GB/s memory bandwidth and eight CPU cores.
