'Tekken 7' Release Date, News & Update: Bandai Namco Teases Players With New Trailer; Will PS4 Pro, Xbox Scorpio Have It Soon?

The much-awaited action game from Bandai Namco "Tekken 7" will hit the market in March 2017. Fans are excited on the game's entrance to gaming platforms, despite its availability in Japanese arcades since last year.

The disappointment has now become excitement. This is what "Tekken 7" fans feel as the day is fast approaching for the game release early next year. The fighting video game was first released last year, but only Japanese arcades have them. Finally, Bandai Namco has officially released its newest trailer for "Tekken 7" playable for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.

"Tekken 7" is the new installment franchise of the game "Tekken" which was developed and produced by Bandai Namco. The newest trailer showed fight scenes with body slamming and action packed fight scenes using super controlled techniques. It's unclear on what helicopters and missiles do in a city as shown in the trailer, PC Gamer reported.

In an interview of Katsuhiro Harada, producer of "Tekken 7" and other franchise holders, he believes that the game can compete well in terms of esports. "We think that we're starting off slow, but after the release date, things will start to pick up," Harada informed GameSpot pertaining to some players' feedback about the limited play environment.

There will be very few changes in "Tekken 7" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Katsuhiro Harada and the team wanted it as what the people expect in an arcade game. Harada said that players should expect an added story mode feature revealing some story elements from the previous installments.

As everyone knows, the typical arcade fight scene is a character will throw two to three lines and the battle will start with the timer at the top. In "Tekken 7" story mode, Harada explained that they tried to change it and make it more immersive.

Moreover, "Tekken 7" is the first franchise to use "Unreal Engine 4." Katsuhiro Harada told reporters that using this type of engine helped them focus on the actual game design elements. Also, it is now easier for them to port the game to different platforms.

Meanwhile, Katsuhiro Harada has no comment whether they plan to incorporate "Tekken 7" on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio. He said that that the platforms are new and it's hard to conclude about its endless possibilities.
