Right Ways to Factory Reset a Samsung Galaxy S7, Plus, another Samsung Explosion?

Samsung Galaxy S7 sellers may need to factory reset a smartphone before letting them out in the market. There are two steps to reset the handset. Most importantly, the FRP must be disabled prior to the reset.

First, the Factory Reset Protection or FRP needs to be disabled before erasing on the Samsung Galaxy S7. Apparently, foregoing this step is said to backfire as an old Google Account password is necessary to use the phone post-reset. The FRP is disabled manually in Settings> Lock Screen and Security> Remove all Passwords/Patterns/Pins. Furthermore, disable Google Accounts in Settings> Accounts

Note that there are two kinds of resets: a factory reset from the settings menu and via the recovery mode using hardware keys. Manually resetting of the Samsung Galaxy S7 may be accomplished in Settings>Backup and Reset> Factory Data Reset> Reset Device> Confirm> Delete all. Note that no password or pin should be required if the FRP has been disabled, Digital Trends reported.

On the other hand, Factory Reset of the Samsung Galaxy S7 via Recovery Mode is done with the phone turned off. Then, press and hold three buttons all at once--the Power, Home and Volume Up. The Recovery Booting should be seen on top of the screen or a dancing Android robot. Wait till it boots into Recovery Mode. Scroll down with the Volume Down button to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select with the Power Button and confirm with Volume Down. Note that the first step is still a necessity.

In other news, post-Note 7 battery explosion fiasco, another explosion has been reported in Winnipeg. A man named Amarjit Mann reported that the Samsung Galaxy S7 exploded in his hands. Mann reportedly suffered burns in his hands that took nine days to heal. Apparently, the man is a mechanic, Fortune reported.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is said to be the company's highest-end handset. The device was released before the Note 7 with a high end processor and graphics performance for a hefty price. However, an anonymous employee of one of the big four wireless carriers revealed that Galaxy S7 handsets have exploded and shipped off to Samsung for evaluation.
