Netflix political drama series "House of Cards" will be back for season 5 this coming 2017. It has always reflected on the political climate of the country, so it is no surprise that there are spoilers indicating the appearance of Donald Trump for "House of Cards" Season 5.
The November 8 elections that Donald Trump won, might heavily influence "House of Cards" Season 5. There is no official announcement from Netflix yet with how the recent elections will change what was originally planned for the next season. Maybe a new Trump-like character will be introduced in the season.
But there are rumors of the death of Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) for "House of Cards" Season 5. In the last season, Frank Underwood was seen as running for reelection as President of the United States with his wife Claire as his running mate for Vice-President.
But as seen in the previous seasons of "House of Cards", Claire is becoming like Frank, thirsty for power. She might not be happy with just being the Vice-President and aim to be the President of the United States in "House of Cards" Season 5. Spoilers indicate she might even resort to killing her husband Frank in her quest to become more powerful. An assassination of President Frank Underwood will make her the President.
Other spoilers for "House of Cards" Season 5 claim that the storyline of Claire being made President is paving the way for a spinoff entitled "First Women". The spotlight would focus on Claire as the first female President of The United States, which would have been a reflection of the current political situation had Hillary Clinton won in the election.
The question now is whether the "House of Cards" spinoff, which is reportedly produced and starred by none other than Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon. Do you think that "House of Cards" Season 5 will have female president or introduce Donald Trump? Share your thought and comments below.
