It is time for iPhone fans to rejoice! iPhone 8 latest details have just been uncovered and shared by various sources. Similar to the iPhone 7, one of the major updates and part of the most awaited details will be for the iPhone 8 camera specs.
According to reports, Apple wants their users to have a better and more full photography experience with the upcoming iPhone 8. Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the leading KGI Securities analysts, even confirmed that Apple is indeed planning a major update for the iPhone 8 cameras.
In Ming-Chi's article through MacRumors, he mentioned that Apple will be incorporating the Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) feature for their Telephoto Compact Camera module (CCM). This will be applied to the units to bring up the quality and the range of the optical zooms for the two of the three, planned iPhone 8 models.
The iPhone 8 models with the 5.1- inch OLED screen and 5.5-inch LCD screen will reportedly have dual- lens cameras. The 4.7-inch LCD screen iPhone 8 model will then carry a single lens camera with the OIS feature installed. Other sources have also mentioned that Apple will also be incorporating Augmented Reality (AR) into their iPhone 8 series models. Developers will also be happy to learn that soon after the launching, Apple will also be releasing an SDK so they may create AR-compatible apps for the iPhone 8.
While it is great that the iPhone 8 is finally embracing OLED, it also adds to the difficulty in producing the units. OLED is much appreciated in the market because it can operate without a backlight. Because of this, the iPhone 8 units can be made lighter and thinner compared to the IPS LCD. Visual can also be raised to a higher level since OLED can help with the giving higher contrast ratio compared to the LCD.
Since the OLED screens are harder to produce especially in high numbers, Samsung is the only supplier right now that can produce them.
