The Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation at the "Saturday Night Live" show received a negative comment from the President-elect who took to Twitter and slammed the actor's portrayal of a one-sided story to which Baldwin slammed right back. What did the actor have to say?
The last episode of "Saturday Night Live" released over the weekend showed the Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation wherein the actor comedically showed how the latest President of the United States grabbed his title during the 2016 Presidential Elections.
Dismayed by the portrayal, the real estate tycoon took to Twitter and slammed the Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation for being "one-sided," reported Vulture. The Twitter post was as follows:
I watched parts of @nbcsnl Saturday Night Live last night. It is a totally one-sided, biased show - nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 20, 2016
The actor then responded accordingly claiming that the Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation in "Saturday Night Live" show was the show's way of interpreting their view on the President-elect being unprepared for the Oval Office, reported Variety. Baldwin then suggested that instead of focusing his energy on the Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation, the President-elect should focus his energy on more important matters such as addressing the problems of millions of Americans than keeping tabs on an episode of "Saturday Night Live." In fact, Baldwin also mentioned that if he were the President, he should also consider improving the reputation of Americans abroad and fight for the freedom of the people rather than banking more on oil.
Furthermore, it was reported that Baldwin had also shown his support for the 2016 Presidential Elections rival of the President, Hilary Clinton, even before the said elections began and even before the Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation. More so, Trump also demanded a public apology from the platform concerned with the Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation episode for wrongfully portraying his running mate, Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
Despite the President-elect slamming the Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation, the show must go on. The next episode of "Saturday Night Live" will air this weekend, Nov. 26, 2016.
