"Scandal" Season 6 is more than ready for its big premiere with new and crisp twists, bringing back Kerry Washington fresh from real-life pregnancy. A first look at the trailer of the season reveals strong and intimidating dialogues, action packed thrillers and mysteries waiting to be unfolded.
Shonda Rhimes, the showrunner of "Scandal" Season 6 shared that every episode for every season is a work of mysteries that are crafted and created for the viewers. ABCNews reported that the opening of the series will usher in a time jump on election day with Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) threatening Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) that she is quitting on the presidential race. In response, Olivia blurted out that she is not.

According to Gamenguide, "Scandal" Season 6 will have Olivia and Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn) going back into a rekindling of a relationship after a sad and difficult situation they had in season 5. Additionally, season 6 will be a time for healing and friendship for the two women in Fitz life, Olivia and the ex-wife Mellie as they have accepted their fate to become friends rather than enemies.
"Scandal" Season 6 has been scheduled for its premiere showing on January 19, 2017 at the ABC network in between two other shows of Shonda Rhimes, Grey's Anatomy and How To Get Away With Murder. The trailer of the series, which was just released, showed the mysteries that are to be revealed for each episode.
