"Vikings" season 4 latest promo clip for its 11th episode teased of Ragnar Lothbrok's death, which has been long-rumored by fans. The latest spoilers suggest that the next episode will finally see the end of Ragnar. If fans will see Ragnar's death in the next episode, will Lagertha take his place?
'Vikings' Season 4 Will See Ragnar's Death
Many fans have anticipated Ragnar's (Travis Fimmel) death in the hit History Channel series but it's been almost-confirmed only now. "Vikings" season 4, episode 11 may finally see the end of Ragnar as hinted in the latest sneak peak of the series. If the promotional videos are anything to go by, fans may finally see the death of Ragnar when "Vikings" season 4 airs on November 30. This was in contrast to earlier speculations that Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) will die when the History series return to the air.
However, it seems that Lagertha will take over Ragnar's place when "Vikings" season 4 returns to History Channel. In fact, the series creator Michael Hirst confirmed that Lagertha will not die anytime soon. Lagertha will still appear in the remaining episodes of "Vikings" season 4. However, one wonders how she can survive the siege in Paris.
Ragnar Dead, Lagertha Takes Over?
It was previously speculated that "Vikings" season 4 will leave the throne ready for Ivar The Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen). Many believed that he will die in the hands of King Aelle (Ivan Keye) but there are suggestions that he may be committing suicide.
"Vikings" season 4 may see Ragnar end his own life if speculations prove true. In the teaser trailer, Ragnar is seen riding his horse across the plain, stopping at the foot of the tree. There are speculations suggesting that fans may see Ragnar hang himself in the tree.
With Ragnar gone, Lagertha may take over for Ragnar in the upcoming episode. It appears that she survived the stab on her chest when the midseason finale aired. "Vikings" season 2 will return to air on November 30 on the History Channel.
