The next season of the highly violent yet hugely popular anime series, "Attack on Titan" is almost here. The wait has been long, and fans still don't know much about the upcoming season.
Many questions linger with the very long wait for "Attack on Titan" Season 2. But perhaps the biggest question that fans of the show want answered is the big reveal at the end of season one, which is the Titan in the walls. In a preview promo that was released, a priest from the religious sect that worships the walls that protect the city was shown. The squad leader, Hange Zoë questions the priest about it in the promo.
Those that have read the manga may have an advantage when it comes to speculating what is in store for "Attack on Titan" season 2. Although the first season managed to stay faithful to the manga as much as possible, certain liberties have to be taken in order to ascertain that the transition of the story from paper to screen is fluid.
Also, the second season did take too long to premiere, which is in part due to the manga still not having enough chapter to justify a transition into a full season of 25 or 26 episodes. But with the previous season, fans can be assured that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will be in step with the events of the manga for as much as creative liberties can allow.
There is also the possibility that the second season of "Attack on Titan" will also cover four story arcs, much like what was done with the first season, according to Geek. There is also a potential reveal of the identity of the monstrous titan, along with the two other unknown titans. "Attack on Titan" season 2 can also delve into the backstory of the other members of the Survey Corps. Also, they may sneak in the reveal of what is in the basement this season.
According to some reports, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 release date is set for 2017. However, some reports claimed it will be premiered in February 2017.
