After numerous cancellation rumors, the anticipated comeback of the science fiction drama web on Netflix, "Sense8" is finally confirmed and is said to be returning on January without Aml Ameen. According to Deadline, Ameen is set to be replaced by Toby Onwumere because of the British actor's abrupt exit from his role in the first season.
Initial sources indicate that Ameen's exit was murky because it had to do with his conflicted relationship with "Sense8's" co-creator/executive producer/ director Lana Wachowski. Incidents from Season 2 table read in Berlin and filming in India exacerbated the situation which pushed Ameen to leave. Dissimilarities in creativity were also cited as one of the contributing factors in the actor's departure.
"Sense8" assumed release date
Avid fans of "Sense8" are preparing for the release of the second season as initial reports look forward to an early release of the episodes. Actress Jamie Clayton, who plays as Nomi Marks, exposed that the pioneering episode of the Netflix series will premiere sometime in Christmas while the rest of the episodes will be aired around early 2017.

Although Clayton did not reveal the official date for the release of the other episodes, it is speculated that the arrival of the second season of "Sense8" is around January 2017. The production of the series has not given a definite statement about it but since filming had just finished last month, it's safe to say that the release of the series will be around January.
Is there still a chance that Ameen will return in "Sense8"?
Fans are speculating other major spoilers that Ameen is set to make a comeback in the second season of "Sense8" but this time with a modified and a bigger role, and a different one from Onwumere. However, those are just mere speculations and are still not confirmed by the channel.
Capheus "Van Damme", is one of the main characters of "Sense8" and will be played by Onwumere. This character is a young Kenyan man living in Nairobi who is working really hard for the medication of his mother who's diagnosed with AIDS. He is one of the eight strangers who were connected emotionally and mentally with each other. They are the center of the science fiction drama web on Netflix created, written, and executive-produced by Lilly and Lana Wachowski and J. Michale Straczynski.
