The CW has finally revealed the much-awaited premiere date of "The Originals" season 4! It may have been a bit later than expected; nevertheless, it's good to learn when to finally watch out for "TVD" spinoff series next year. Fans, mark your calendars as "The Originals" season 4 will return to your TV screens on March 17, 2017.

'The Originals' Season 4 Premiere

"The Originals" season 4 is officially returning to air on March 17, 2017, according to TV Line. The premiere date for season 4 comes after a week when the original series "The Vampire Diaries" airs its ultimate ending on March 10. The CW also confirmed other shows along with "The Originals" season 4, which include the "The 100," "Reign," "Riverdale" and "Legends of Tomorrow."

Along with new episodes for "The Originals" season 4, fans also get to see new faces. The next season has already confirmed to welcome a grown up Hope (Summer Fontana) -- Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter, who will be seven years old when the series starts season 4.

While many are anticipating the grand reunion of father and daughter in "The Originals" season 4, many fans are also looking forward to the crossover of characters from "TVD" as earlier reported by GameNGuide.  With reported dwindling ratings, fans hope that the crossover will save the series from getting canceled.

"The Originals" season 4 finally welcomes a crossover from "TVD" as TV Line confirms exclusively. The original vampire-series will give fans a parting gift in the person of Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis).  Alaric will appear on the eighth episode of "The Originals" season 4.

Alaric's visit to "The Originals" season 4 will bring a precious artifact to Elijah. This will be the fourth time the character visits New Orleans. However, fans are hoping for more characters to do the crossover, particularly one from Caroline.
