The much-awaited "Destiny 2" has been all over the internet for quite a while now, as fans speculated about the expansion of the franchise once it's out.The biggest news about it, perhaps, is the possibility of creating a PC version, alongside its XBox One and PlayStation 4 console versions.
But, while the launch of "Destiny 2" has been all but officially confirmed, what else can fans expect from the Bungie sequel? Here's the roundup of everything you need to know about "Destiny 2": news, updates, upgrades, new features, release dates and more.
Sequel on PC version?
Perhaps one of the hottest rumors and reports regarding "Destiny 2" right now is the creation of a PC version, which would delight several players who wish to try the expanded universe on a different platform. This especially after PCGamesN reported that "Destiny 2" would function more as a new, standalone sequel rather than an expansion sequel to "Destiny."
According to Kotaku, "Destiny 2" will function more like "Diablo 2," wherein the game was basically built on the foundations of its predecessors, but provides a brand new universe as well as improved lores, games and systems. This means brand new content on the Bungie/Activision game.
Raid matchmaking
One of the sought-after features in "Destiny 2" is improved matchmaking and group support. This is because in order to play the game's raids, players must first form a team of five from their friends' list--no randomers allowed. Which is unfortunate, especially since raids are a quintessential part of a full "Destiny" gameplay. One possible way to circumvent this is by introducing a group system that would allow players to find people interested in the same raid, without them necessarily having to be friends.
