Fans of Motörhead will be delighted to see Metallica's tribute to the band's founder, Lemmy Kilmister. The new music video from Metallica is centered on the legendary rocker's journey through the rock and roll industry. Gorillaz animator Robert Valley was personally enlisted by Metallica to illustrate the rock legend's story.

Motörhead Was One Of Metallica's Inspirations To Music

Metallica is considered to be the legends of rock and roll and considers Lemmy as one of the main reasons for their success. In an article written by the Rolling Stone, James Hetfield told interviewers that they admired Lemmy for being himself. "He did his own thing to the last of his breath," told the metal band's guitarist and vocalist.

The music video with the song titled "Murder One" is one of the featured songs for Metallica's new album "Hardwired... to Self-Destruct." It will be the band's 10th album and will be released on November 18 along with the band's "Blackened Friday Event."

"Murder One" Reflects Lemmy Kilmister's Iconic Career

In a post by Loudwire, the music video for the song starts off in a clip that shows the year 1975, where members of the band Hawkwind drove off and left Lemmy at the Canadian border. Lemmy is then shown back in Liverpool in year 1962, where rock and roll was formally conceived. The next clips follows Lemmy as a roadie for the legendary guitarist, Jimi Hendrix and clips of Hawkwind dropping Lemmy to the roadside; which was how Lemmy created his new band: Motörhead

The legendary music icon died in his sleep on December 28, 2015 at his Los Angeles home, four days after his birthday. Lemmy had prostate cancer and the disease was diagnosed two days before his death. "Murder One" honors Lemmy Kilmister's influence to music. You can check out the music video below.
