Sui Ishida, creator of "Tokyo Ghoul", is all set to replace creator Toshihiro Togashi once manga series "Hunter X Hunter" returns from its hiatus. Reports also say that with the replacement of the original illustrator, the focus of the manga will now be on Gin, the father of main character Gon.
It has been four months since "Hunter X Hunter" released its last chapter when it suddenly went on hiatus because of the health issues of its creator, Yoshihiro Togashi. But media has recently said that Togashi is healthy now and ready to go back to work. He was spotted at a party, and his reported nach problems which caused the hiatus, was not evident. But it seems someone else will continue the series instead of him.
Sui Ishida, creator of "Tokyo Ghoul", is a big fan of the manga series and is rumored to take over the next issues of "Hunter X Hunter." Reports say Togashi had to give up the franchise when the editors of "Hunter X Hunter" seem to prefer Ishida's version of the magician, Hisoka.
There are also rumors that the wife of Togashi, Naoko Takeuchi, might help with the continuation of the series. Takeuchi is herself a successful manga artist, having penned the popular "Sailor Moon" franchise. She has on occasion helped her husband in the "Hunter X Hunter" series, so it would not be surprising to bring her into the team.
There are also rumors that creator Togashi plans to shift the focus of the next chapters of "Hunter X Hunter" from Gon to his father, Gin. There are no official statements as to whether there is a grain of truth to this surprising move.
"Hunter X Hunter" is a very successful manga franchise, having sold over 65 million copies since its release. Fans are eagerly anticipating what's next in line for the characters, and waiting for Togashi or his replacement to bring about a new chapter for the manga.
