'Skyrim Special Edition' Release Date, News & Update: Patch 1.1 Causes Crashing Problems For Xbox One, PS4, PC Gamers, BUT Mods Fixed

After the successful release of the "Skyrim Special Edition" last October, it has been consuming most of the free time of a lot of gamers and fans. Though Bethesda had put out an update for the remaster just recently, it appears that the patch 1.1 was a headache for a few players.

While the "Skyrim Special Edition" 400MB patch solved a couple of issues and addressed a number of compressed sound files, the update also caused the game to crash. The issues came for some users who have not experienced such issues before, NeoSeeker reported.

Regardless of the platform, whether be it Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC, gamers are all complaining about crashes. THe "Skyrim Special Edition" usually crashes after a couple of minutes into playing and not during the start of the game. This simply suggests that the issue is somehow related to save files being corrupted with the latest update.

A few Dovahkiin were able to get their primary save files up and working again by Playing the game's opening sequence before loading the affected date. However, this does not work for everyone. Bethesda has officially confirmed that they already started investigating the problem but haven't announced a timetable to get gamers back to their affected saves.

Meanwhile, the latest patch is designed to solve several factors, which include performance, stability, and other various issues. Also, players should now be able to transform from a werewolf back to a human.

With regard to mods, there have also been a few bug fixes and improvements to the browsing experiences. These include fixed issue related to alt-tab in PC, water flow not rendering right, fixed crash related to changing from werewolf to human, and much more, Game Spot reported.

Based on those notes, it does not appear like this update is really intended specifically to fix the crashes caused by "Skyrim Special Edition" update 1.1 on all platforms. Another problem of the game is the compressed audio. Watch video about new "Skyrim" Patch Released, Some Users Report Crashes - IGN News
