After earning almost one billion US dollars globally, one of the hit movies in 2015 is going to be back with a sequel, "Jurassic World 2." The fans are eagerly waiting for more details about the upcoming movie and the excitement is unwavering. Good thing, "Jurassic World 2" director Juan Antonio Bayona spilled some details on the upcoming movie.
It is noted that "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow will not be returning for "Jurassic World 2." In a Den of Geek report, the previous director said, "I knew I wanted Bayona to direct it long before anyone ever heard that was a possibility, so the whole thing was just built around his skillset."
The expectation for "Jurassic World 2" is quite high given that the previous installment was a hit. Movie News Guide mentioned in a recent report that the new movie is going to scarier and way darker than the last one. To make fans even more excited, Bayona shared that the connection of the current story arc with "Jurassic Park" will finally be revealed.
He further explained that he will finally reveal this because many fans are asking how "Jurassic World" and "Jurassic World 2" is connected with the first installment of the movie franchise "Jurassic Park." Even better, he also hinted that "Jurassic World 3" is in the works.
The director also mentioned that he did find it a bit difficult to balance between the audience's expectations and adding new and exciting concepts for the movie. However, he did promise that he can do it and that fans can expect an even better sequel once "Jurassic World 2" is released.
In addition to that, older fans will be delighted to know that previous locations in "Jurassic Park" will be seen in the upcoming movie. Chris Pratt will reprise his role for "Jurassic World 2" but Jake Johnson would not be returning for the sequel. "Jurassic World 2" is slated to be released on June 22, 2018.
