The CW will soon unveil its special crossover episodes for four of its superhero series namely "Supergirl," "The Flash," "Arrow" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." Latest spoiler news have unveiled what fans can expect from the crossover event that will begin with Kara's adventures in National City.
"Supergirl" Season 2 episode 8 will mark the start of the CW's four-way crossover event with the superhero shows "The Flash," "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow." Titled "Medusa," the said episode will feature Barry aka the Flash (Grant Gustin) and Cisco's (Carlos Valdes) surprise visit to Kara's (Melissa Benoist) world.
With alien's invading Barry's world, he will enlist Supergirl's help to defeat the invaders, according to episode spoilers posted on TVLine. Named the Dominators, the speedster hero will also ask Oliver, aka the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), to join the fight.
The said storyline line will serve as the main focus in the upcoming "The Flash" Season 3 episode 8 titled "Invasion." However, the threat will be too big for Barry and Oliver to handle which will push the two superheroes to look for the heroes of the CW series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
Viewers can expect to see the first iconic superhero meeting between Supergirl, the Flash, the Green Arrow and "Legends of Tomorrow" characters in the said episode. Apart from trying to defeat the Dominators in Barry's Central City, the said episode will also unveil a Flashpoint secret that will lead to trust issues within the team.
Meanwhile, the Dominators will play a cruel joke on Oliver in the upcoming "Arrow" Season 5 episode 8. Oliver will find himself in an alternate reality where his life appears to be perfect and he is set to marry his fiancée Laurel (Katie Cassidy). However, he will start to question whether everything is real given small imperfections in the make-up world.
As Oliver tries his best to break free from the Dominators control, Supergirl and the Flash will help Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and the new Arrow team to fight the alien enemy. However, the discovery of the Dominators true plans will push beloved "Legends of Tomorrow" characters to team up with the three superheroes.
The upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 episode 7 will feature the end of the final battle between the Dominators and the superheroes. Stein (Victor Garber) will play a critical role in defeating the alien invaders but an "aberration" that he created in 1987 may distract him from his mission.
In other news, "Arrow" showrunner Marc Guggenheim recently addressed rumors that Season 5 may be the CW show's final season. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he denied cancellation speculations and shared how the flashback storyline was supposed to pan out in five years with Season 5 marking the "end of a particular chapter."
The CW back-to-back crossover event will start with the "Supergirl" episode to be released on Nov. 29 and will conclude with the "Legend of Tomorrow" episode to air on Dec. 1. Watch the trailer below:
