In Conan O'Brien's latest episode for the Clueless Gamer segment, the famous talk show host took a shot against the much-loved Square Enix game, "Final Fantasy XV." In the episode, Conan called the highly popular game "Final Fantasy XV" an epic waste of time.
Conan O'Brien played through a portion of the game together with Elijah Wood on their PS4. The duo were sharing comments like why would anyone want to play "Final Fantasy XV" and if it was created just to confuse people. As expected, fans were annoyed with their crazy comments.The two stated that the game was an epic waste of time and that it was all madness.
The duo admittedly mentioned that they know nothing about video games but they often get paid by publishers to play their products for exposure. The "Final Fantasy XV" segment though, proved how much of a following the game has and how respected the creators are. Fans were further upset after it was shown that the creators were watching the duo trash talk their game the whole time.
According to reports, fans were messaging the boards saying that "Final Fantasy XV" is too important just to be insulted by ill-informed people and how they could stop sabotaging their beloved game.
In Conan O'Brien's Clueless Gamer segment, He does not totally trash or insult the games. According to some supporters, he only calls out the silly aspects and elements of the games. He calls out things that gamers may not notice especially since they are already biased with the games that they love like the "Final Fantasy XV."
Square Enix definitely stirred the waters with the "Final Fantasy XV" episode but, Conan O'Brien may have garnered new enemies from the gaming community. Square Enix tweeted about the segment but, a lot of their fans did not enjoy it at all.
It is bad publicity according to some of their fans and it might encourage people to not even look up the game. Some might not even check the gameplay before dismissing it a waste of time, like what Conan O'Brien called it.
Whatever the fans are feeling over the "Final Fantasy XV" Clueless Gamer segment, Square Enix as definitely added some drama to their upcoming release. After many years of development, "Final Fantasy XV" is already scheduled to be released on November 29, 2016 for the Xbox and PS4.
