The sixth episode of “Supergirl” season 2 came with yet another batch of surprises, mostly focusing on the co-stars of Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist). Revelations and new plots were created but nothing was more intriguing than the Martian blood transfusion that J’onn J’onzz had following a clash with the villain of the day – “The Parasite”.
Both J’onnzz and Supergirl tried to take out “The Parasite” but the power-sucking villain proved to be too much for the two heroes in "Supergirl" season 2. Supergirl was revived but the case of the “Martian Manhunter” was a bit complicated.
It took some convincing from Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) on “M’gann M’orzz (Sharon Leal) to save the life of the Martian Manhunter though the preliminary hesitation and asking for forgiveness was the twist of it all in "Supergirl" season 2. J’onn J’onnzz did survive but there were obvious side effects as seen when his hand was shaking, Screen Rant reported.
Could it be a blood-type mismatch? Apparently, this will serve as the gateway to finding out more about “Miss Martian” moving forward in "Supergirl" season 2.
But before that, what awaits the “Martian Manhunter” in "Supergirl" season 2? Will the blood transfusion cause some internal problems on his end? Is there something about the blood of “Miss Martian” that deserves more defining?
Aside from that, other "Supergirl" season 2 characters who saw storylines heat up include Alex who accepted the fact that she is gay, Yahoo TV reported. Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out as she had hoped though it wouldn’t be surprising if this love angle will get an update soon.
On "Supergirl" season 2, Jimmy Olson also got his wish, a special suit courtesy of Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan). He calls himself “The Guardian” though both have kept it a secret from Kara. The question now is for how long?
Mon-El (Chris Wood) was left searching for what his future was but the ending saw him apprehended by people of Cadmus. Will it be another interrogation and dissection to create more super-powered foes in "Supergirl" season 2?
More plots just got created and things may start to become interesting in an entirely new cast. The next episode of "Supergirl" season 2 should be something to watch so make sure to catch it on CW this coming Monday.
