Ryan Reynolds. GQ Man of the Year of 2016. Nothing surprising about that. Of course he would be GQ Man of the Year. Hell, at the rate he's going, he could be GQ's main man every year. He's definitely every woman's dream man at this point.
Reynolds was named one of GQ's Men of the Year 2016. The 40-year-old Deadpool star was featured on this particular issue along with Usain Bolt and Warren Beatty. He revealed his secret battle with anxiety and how he fell in love with his wife of 4 years, Blake Liveley.
The actor told the magazine he was diagnosed with anxiety when he finished filming Deadpool.
"When it finally ended, I had a little bit of a nervous breakdown. I literally had the shakes", he said.
He further added, "I went to go see a doctor because I felt like I was suffering from a neurological problem or something. And every doctor I saw said, "You have anxiety." I say this with the caveat that I completely recognize the ridiculously fortunate position that I am in. But the attention is hard on your nervous system-that might be why I live out in the woods. And I was banging the loudest drum for Deadpool. I wasn't just trying to open it; I was trying to make a cultural phenomenon".
When asked how he fell in love with his wife, Blake Lively, with whom he has two children,
"Probably after the sex," Reynolds said smiling. Clearly just kidding around and having fun. Classic Ryan Reynolds. Always naughty with his sense of humor.
Later on he said, "No, we were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that's open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, "Want to dance?"
"No one was in there, so it was just totally empty. And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, "Oh, I think I just crossed a line." And then I walked her home. And, uh, you know, I don't really need to go into what happened after that."
