LG G6 Specs, Features, News & Update: Might Be the Coolest Smartphone This 2017; Introduction Of Iris Scanner Unveiled?

With the achievement of LG G5' sales and launching, LG is expected to exceed the latter with the release of its predecessor, LG G6. G5's interchangeable modules, enhanced structure, and two rear cameras made its way to success.

This 2017, some of the features that will be expected in the upcoming LG G6 includes the use of iris scanner, improved battery life, adoption of wireless charging, and more. According to PhoneArena, during the Korea Electronics Show (KES), LG showcased a new module that could serve as both an iris scanner and camera.

This camera is capable of collecting wavelengths from the infrared spectrum, whereas the normal camera is used to filter out the infrared light.  This is more sensitive than the selfie shooter. However, there's no official announcement yet from the management that this technology will be incorporated to the upcoming G6.

In terms of design, the LG G6 is retaining the G5's screen size of 5.3 inches and might improve its rear design by switching from aluminum to glossy tempered glass. The smartphone will also have a 32G storage with Snapdragon 830 processor along with Android 7.0 Nougat for faster performance.

Moreover, the new smartphone is rumored to enhance its battery capacity from G5's 2800mAh to G6s 3000mAh and is expected to adopt Samsung's wireless charging.

Also in the report of N4BB, LG G6 might be provided with a Magnetic Secure Transmission (MTS), which is a technology that is closely similar to Samsung and Apple's payment platform.

Many of the LG enthusiasts are excited for the release and announcement of G6. The price of the smartphone is predicted to be at $650 and may be unveiled in February 2017 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
