$9.99 ‘Super Mario Run’ Offers Unlimited Access To 3 Modes In Dec. 15 Launch For iPhone & iPad

Gamers who would download “Super Mario Run” from the App Store for free when the most iconic video game character launches for iPhone and iPad in the U.S. on Dec. 15 can try elements of the game’s three modes at no cost. However, for unlimited access to all three modes in the release, players should pay a one-time fee of $9.99.

Shigeru Miyamato, the creator of the first-ever mobile game, oversaw the development of “Super Mario Run.” The new game offers a new take on the action-platforming gameplay on Apple devices for the first time, Doug Browser, senior vice president of sales and marketing of Nintendo America, said.

According to Tech Times, Mario in “Super Mario Run,” would do a lot of running and jumping. The player needs to control Mario’s jumps toward the end of the stage. A tap would make the character jump, while pressing the screen would make Mario take a long leap. To beat his enemies and make a lot of masterful moves, the gamer should master the art of timing Mario’s leaps and jumps.

Three Modes

The first mode is the “Kingdom Builder” that allows gamers to design a Mushroom Kingdom of their own through the addition of a range of “Super Mario” objects and buildings. “Toad,” the second mode, allows two players to compete on a time run wherein they could collect as many coins.

When the two modes are tied together, the coins which gamers won in Toad Ralley could be used to buy items in Kingdom Builder. Toads who watch the races are allowed to live afterward in the kingdom. In “World Tour,” the third mode, Mario needs to jump and run to save Princess Peach from Bowser.

New Countries & Languages

Nintendo would roll out on Dec. 15 “Super Mario Run” in 151 countries and regions. The iconic game supports English, German, Spanish, Dutch, Japanese, French, Portuguese, Russian and traditional Chinese language options, but Apple-made gadgets where the game is downloaded must run iOS 8.0 or higher OS.

The developer has plans to make “Super Mario Run” available on Android, but Nintendo has no release date yet. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Super Marion Run" news and updates!
