iMac 2017 Desktop Release Date, News & Update: Everything You Need To Know Prior Final Release Date

Apple remains silent on the next generation iMac despite of the rumors circulating about the Apple iMac 2017 launch. The tech giant is reportedly working on new iMacs but the release date is still not yet officially confirmed.

There are speculations that the iMac refresh will happen later next year due to the no show at the recent event of the company. With unconfirmed reports of the Intel new-gen Kaby Lake processors being included to the new iMacs, a delay was absolutely expected.

The Intel's Kaby Lake processor is expected to be released in either late 2016 or early 2017. Therefore, the insufficient supply of such processors is being blamed for the delay of the iMac 2017. However, several sources reveal that the Apple iMac will be released in March next year.

The upcoming iMac is also expected to have a much improved graphics card. It is speculated that it will sport either Polaris 11 or AMD Polaris 10. Apart from that, the new-gen of iMacs may likely to feature the same OLED Touch Bar concept found in MacBook Pro, along with a fingerprint scanner. Added to that, a revamped design is also expected to be seen on iMac 2017..

Meanwhile, a lot of tech experts and pundits speculate that the upcoming iMacs would also be VR-ready. According to MacWorld, the Intel Kaby Lake chip has been observed online as Best Buy listed it on its sale roster before immediately removing it. That being said, a lot of customers are now expecting Kaby Lake inclusion to the new Apple desktop. However, it is still possible to see AMD Zen in some iMac models.
