Capcom continues to release teasers for its upcoming game release, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," and fans now agree that the game will be the scariest entry for 2017. The next installment in the franchise is already confirmed to have a change in direction, in which the gameplay will focus more on the horror element of "Resident Evil" than just violent, gory combat.
Capcom recently released two teaser videos for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," giving players a glimpse of how horrific the game can be. The first teaser was titled "Shadow," and it introduced a creature that appears like a zombie. What's terrifying is that this monster seems to be immune to gunshots. The other teaser video, titled "Aunt Rhody," introduced a creepy old woman sitting on a rocking chair. As the player gets close to her, she gives out this glare that sends chills down your spine.
Now that all volumes of the second tape have been released, fans are already looking forward to new footage that will form Tape 3. This new batch of teasers will release sometime next month, Capcom has confirmed, but an exact date has not been provided yet. More details about "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" actual gameplay are expected to be unveiled soon as the game nears its official release, which will be on Jan. 24, 2017.
Meanwhile, a Collector's Edition of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" was recently leaked. Capcom is said to be planning this special game edition, which oddly, didn't include the game itself. PlayStation Universe obtained the details of the leak from GameStop Italy and they include tangible "Resident Evil 7" related items. As per the report, the Collector's Edition will include a 16 GB USB memory stick shaped into the dummy finger found in the game; 5 Lithographs; 20th-anniversary art book; three alternate covers, Baker family house replica, and an in-game DLC.
While it was reported to be a Europe-only exclusive, one player commented that the special edition is making its way to North America. Nothing is official about this "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" Collector's Edition yet until Capcom makes the announcement. In the meantime, you can check out the last teaser from Tape 2 below.
