"Rick & Morty" season 3 is expected to return with brand new episodes this coming Holiday Season! However, there are speculations stating the opposite: the series won't air this coming December. While the animation is already half-done, this doesn't mean a December air date will follow.
'Rick & Morty' Season 3 Won't Air On December 2
"Rick & Morty" had a spectacular start, however, fans were left hanging on when season 3 will air. Initial reports say that "Ricky & Morty" season 3 was supposed to air early December, per Inverse. Will the hit animation series air on December 2 as initially planned?
There are various hints pointing to a possible delay. For one, "Rick & Morty" season 3 hasn't released any official promo as of date.
It's barely a month before the expected "Rick & Morty" season 3air date but fans haven't seen any teaser video for the upcoming season. A Reddit discussion pointed out that no production team will air a show with less than a month before the premiere.

Admittedly, "Rick & Morty" season 3 doesn't need a heavy promotional campaign. The animation has generated a huge following that it doesn't really need an all-out promotional efforts for the upcoming season.
'Ricky & Morty' Season 3 Not Yet Done
While it has been confirmed that writing "Rick & Morty" season 3 is finally done, this doesn't mean that the entire animation is ready to premiere just yet. Writer and co-producer Dan Guterman recently took to Twitter to announce that he's done with the script.
He posted a follow-up tweet saying that he worked on the "Rick & Morty" season 3 storyline for the last 12 months. However, the script will still be reviewed for animation. There are reports confirming that only half of "Ricky & Morty" season 3 is done. The team still has seven more episodes to go before it's finally and officially finished.
To finish off the seven episodes in less than a month seems impossible, though. This could mean that "Rick & Morty" season 3 may not air on December 2 as initially expected.
