"Marco Polo" Season 3 hasn't been confirmed yet but fans are positive that the Netflix series will get a renewal after the success of its second season. If the streaming service will give the green light to the third season, rumor has it that it will likely focus on the mysterious Prester John.
There have been several reports suggesting that Prester John will be one of the highlights of "Marco Polo" Season 3. As detailed by The Wrap, Prester John had saved Nayan (Ron Yuan) from dying alone in the desert. There have been stories about this mysterious figure but the second season also offered glimpses of him in some of the later episodes.
Prester John was able to clear out the Mongols' camp and oddly enough, there were no traces of bodies in the camp in the previous season. The finale also showed Prester John's army heading towards the Mongol camp based in Xanadu. Most of the important characters were in that camp and Kublai Khan had been warned by Marco. However, Jingim (Remy Hii) and Byamba(Uli Latukefu) found an abandoned camp at Xanadu. This should pave the way of the introduction of Prester John in "Marco Polo" Season 3.
Prester John could be the big bad in "Marco Polo" Season 3, but in history, the character is just a myth. It remains to be seen whether or not the new season will feature this legend, but if it does, fans will surely know more details about him and how he fits in the Marco Polo universe.
Meanwhile, there have been concerns that there will be no "Marco Polo" Season 3. As previously reported by GamenGuide, the Netflix series could be canceled mainly due to Benedict Wong's schedule. The actor, who plays the great Kublai Khan in the series, is rumored to be having a difficulty juggling "Marco Polo" and other projects. However, this has not been confirmed yet and fans are convinced that an announcement for a third season is just around the corner. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more updates!
