Last week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 brought back a previous character, said goodbye to another one and established just how evil the new villain could be. In the previous episode titled "An Eternity of Misery," Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) finally revealed that her sister is Seline (Kristen Gutoskie), Alaric (Matt Davis) and Caroline's (Candice King) nanny.
It was also revealed that Georgie (Allison Scagliotti) was working for Seline all along, but she met her demise on last week's episode. The series said goodbye to the character who could've been shipped with Alaric, but it also brought back Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig). "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 also revealed that Seline and Sybil have been servants for a man named Arcadius or Cade, whom Sybil believes is the devil. The have been doing his bidding, but at the moment Sybil is captured by Stefan (Paul Wesley), leaving Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to do the killings.
Meanwhile, this upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will see Damon getting out of control with the killings. According to the synopsis, it would be the last straw for Stefan as he is determined to put a stop to Damon. It remains to be clear if he can be saved or if everything's too late. Apart from Damon, Stefan also has to think about the evil sirens, especially now that it has been revealed that Seline is one of them.
As for Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. There has yet to be an official announcement that the actress will return. It was already hinted before Dobrev's Elena Gilbert will return for the final season. However, there are theories that she will not return as Elena but as Katherine. The journey of Georgie's soul from the ground up to the sky is said to be the same as Katherine's.
It is now speculated that these souls, including Katherine, could be featured in their dark world. However, it remains as a speculation and fans continue to wait for the return of Nina Dobrev in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. The story continues on Friday, Nov. 17, 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
