Even with such a realistic and fantastic plot, "Limitless" seems to end up being canceled and rejected by other stations for "Limitless" Season 2. Fans of the show, including Craig Sweeny and Bradly Cooper, ran the petition online which numerous fans have supported even though it seemed to fail in the end.
According to Gamenguide the plot of "Limitless" is restricted to NZT, thus it is risky to get out of is the storyline, one of the reasons why even with an excellent plot, the show's ratings didn't kick in that well. However, even if "Limitless" Season 2 is close to "not going to happen" line, fans of the "Limitless" are still fighting for it.
A petition on Care2 which is titled "Renew Limitless for Season 2" which is about to reach its goal of 35,000 signatures, all they need is an additional of 1000 people to sign the petition.Brian Cooper and Craig Sweeny also did their best to give "Limitless" Season 2 a chance though it all seems to be in vain.

The fans of " Limitless" are pushing forward for " Limitless" Season 2 hoping that CBS would change their minds and give the show another shot. However, it can be recalled that Craig Sweeny stated the show's renewal is not possible because of its low ratings. Also, even Netflix and Amazon seemed to be not interested in the "Limitless" Season 2.
On the other hand, if the fans of "Limitless" will continue their petitions for "Limitless
Season 2, there might be a change of fate for to limit "Limitless," Only CBS has the decision on the said matter.
