The world isn't done coming to an end in "The 100." After an apocalyptic nuclear event destroyed civilization and set the events of the series in motion, and after the protagonists find that it's nearly habitable again, here comes something new to threaten it. For those who need a refresher course on the show's story, look no further. The end of season three reveals that Earth is on the brink of another nuclear apocalypse, thanks to failing existing nuclear reactors.
"The 100" fans will remember that they've lost a lot of beloved characters on the show, including Lexa, played by Alycia Debnam-Carey. She ended up dying in the season finale after a kill gone wrong, where Tutus accidentally hit her instead of Clarke, her romantic interest. This resulted in a fan uproar, with many fans demanding that she be resurrected somehow, some way come season 4.
Of course, it would be impossible to revive a character who clearly died; series creator Jason Rothenberg already knows this, and has acknowledged these rumors. According to Variety, he mentioned in "The 100" panel in this year's San Diego Comic Con that there's no way Lexa would becoming back to the show after what happened in the finale.
What new, however, is a character coming to mess up the dynamics of "The 100." GamenGuide has already reported that a new faction leader named Luna will be appearing to introduce a pacifist group to the series. Luna's main arc revolves around whether she will have to lead her clan out of their pacifist ways in order to survive the upcoming second apocalypse. She may be able to find a way that suits their nature, but it's also likely that she will have to adapt to the circumstances.
"The 100" season 4 is targeting a first quarter 2017 premiere, according to Den of Geek, which falls in line with the premiere of their third season in January this year. Stay tuned for more information on the next season here on GamenGuide.
