"The Crown" Season 2 has been picked up by the Netflix network for another season of web streaming. The good news is that the show is assured for 60 episodes in a span of six seasons to chronicle the life of Queen Elizabeth & Prince Phillip of England.
While the many fans would have loved Claire Foy and Matt Smith to be in "The Crown" Season 2, they could not stay but will be replaced in season 3 until 6. Helen Mirren will join the cast as the older version of Queen Elizabeth. Meanwhile, James Cromwell's astonishing performance in "The Queen", paved way for his role as Prince Phillip.
There are news circulating that prosthetics and make up can be option to retain Foy and Smith to play the young British royals in "The Crown" Season 2. However, this would mean more budget for every season just to keep with the age change.
