City Interactive has announced the company’s upcoming next-generation RPG title, Lords of the Fallen. The game is said to be a demanding and strategic third-person title. City Interactive is responsible for Sniper: Ghost Warrior.
Lords of the Fallen is a hard-hitting action-RPG that will feature advanced combat systems and strong class skill trees. The game is set in a richly created medieval fantasy world which is ruled by a Fallen God.
However, as the Gods have failed mankind, players will now take on the role of a human named Harkyn who sets out on a mission to stand against an apparently unstoppable supernatural force. The game will see players travelling across a world “that is deeply dived by those that follow and others that resist, the Fallen God. Along their journey they will be faced with a series of decisions that will alter both the world and their character thus dramatically impacting the storyline.”
Tomasz Gop, executive producer, CI Games, sounded pretty confident during its reveal. He staes that the team involved with the game is developing the title specifically “for players who enjoy taking on huge challenges, where the odds are stacked against them.”
Gop also confirmes that from the start of the game, Lords of the Fallen will look to “intrigue and satisfy players’ hunger to explore each corner of a brand new world, freely customize and build their own character and take down some of the most epic enemies ever seen.”
Lords of The Fallen is currently scheduled for a 2014 release, and the game’s playable version will be available live at the upcoming E3 2013 in Los Angeles from June 11-13.
