Sony has confirmed, via its official PS4 site, that PlayStation 4 owners will be able to play games on the go with the PlayStation Vita using Remote Play.
The remote play option for games connected to the PlayStation Vita and PS4 has been in news for a while after chief system architect Mark Cerny, at the official PlayStation 4 reveal back in February, stated that the company “would like every PS4 game to be able to use this service as we are sure they will, in time.” Cerny, of course, was showcasing his game Knack at the event.
Sony updated a section of its PS4 page stating: “Play your favorite PS4 games on your PlayStation®Vita’s beautiful 5-inch display using Remote Play.”
While Sony has confirmed the remote play feature, it doesn’t mean that every other game that arrives for PS4 will support it. However, interestingly, the image that Sony provides for detailing the feature shows Killzone: Shadow Fall.
As of now, the list of PS4 games set to arrive includes the likes of inFamous: Second Son, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Watch Dogs, Destiny, and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. More information on this is expected to arrive in the future, hopefully at the upcoming E3.
