Don't let it go just yet, as "Frozen 2" has now been confirmed for a 2018 release date. With this, would Elsa finally find love and meet fellow ice master Jack Frost?
New Songs, New Story, New 'Frozen 2'
Children and parents alike now have something to sing along once again as "Frozen 2" is confirmed for a 2018 release date. Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle will be returning to the big screen, as well as the whole gang. While "Frozen" would be 5 years old by then, it would surely be worth it as the production team took its time for the new catchy songs and an amazing story for "Frozen 2."
The voice actors for "Frozen 2" have not started recording the new songs yet, as the creators wanted to make sure that the new tunes are even better and catchier than the original film. Fans also have to take note that the first iteration took two years to be finished.
Kristen Bell, the wonderful actress who voiced Princess Anna in the first movie, said that the producers wanted to incorporate songs that will top the hit songs like "Let It Go" and "For the First Time in Forever." With this, fans are assured that "Frozen 2" will be a musical unlike any other.
"Frozen 2" will further explore the relationship between the royal sisters of Arendelle. As Queen Elsa is now the official ruler, and Princess Anna is now officially with Kristoff, the dynamics between all the characters might be stirred by a new conflict. Nonetheless, feminism will still reign in "Frozen 2," and Olaf will continue to be the goofy snowman that everybody loves.
Queen Elsa Meets Jack Frost?
According to some reports, Queen Elsa will be getting her own love interest in "Frozen 2." The strongest candidate for this role is Jack Frost. Since the release of "Frozen," many fans have shipped Queen Elsa's character with Jack Frost from the DreamWorks movie "Rise of the Guardians."
Other reports have stated that "Frozen 2" might pair up Queen Elsa with another girl. This would be in line with the movie's feminist messages. Also, this would be the first time in forever that the main character in a Disney film is portrayed as a member of the LGBT community.
