The Taiwanese manifacturer of HTC smartphones announced that there won't be any HTC Bolt available in Canada. It was confirmed by an HTC representative that the HTC Bolt is exclusively distributed by Sprint's network for $600 which would only be obtained by the consumers in the U.S.
However, gadget blogger Evan Blass said that there is a possibility that the HTC Bolt will be released in Canada as well as the other parts of the world. HTC Bolt will be under an alternative name, HTC 10 EVO which is a combination of HTC 10 and Google Pixel according to Android Authority.
HTC Bolt may be marketed globally as the HTC 10 evo.

Although the HTC Bolt lacks the strengths in terms of specs in comparison to the previous HTC models, HTC Bolt is still very decent in terms of physical appearance. The smartphone comes in silver and gunmetal. It's slightly larger than the recent HTC 10 with 5.5 inch quad HD display.
The mobile phone has the similar aluminum finish with large chamfers, a front fingerprint scanner, capacitive buttons for back and some apps from the past HTC versions. When it comes to is camera features, The HTC Bold has a 16-megapixel "optically stabilized" rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
The HTC Bolt will be running Andriod 7.0 Nougat and its 3,200 mAh battery will be supported by a Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0. The phone can also survive being underwater for 30 minutes because of its new IP57 dust and water resistance features.
The HTC Bolt does not have the usual 3.5 headphone jack. Instead, the device has a set of USB TYPE-C headphones that comes with the phone. The Verge reported that HTC has no plans in releasing an adaptor for the standard headphones in the near future.
There are still no official statements from HTC whether HTC Bolt will be available in other countries aside from the U.S. It is also not confirmed by the Taiwanese mobile producer whether the alternative of HTC Bolt will be truly released in Canada.
