For a show titled "Jane the Virgin," a lot has been banking on the simple premise of the protagonist, Jane, being played by Gina Rodriguez, to be a virgin. On the "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 Episode 3, however, Jane had finally lost her virginity to her husband Michael, portrayed by Brett Dier.
With this event, fans of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 somewhat lost interest in the show and reports have claimed that the show's ratings went down. With Jane, not being a virgin anymore, some fans that the "Jane the Virgin" moniker does not quite fit the bill anymore.
The show's writers responded by stating that they are actually planning to scrape out the original title. They intend to add in a new name in the call card, in addition to "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. This would then change for every episode, depending on the episode's story arc.
"Jane the Virgin" Season 3, Episode 5 Spoilers
In the official synopsis of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 Episode 5, Jane will persuade Alba, played by Ivonne Coll, to allow her to read the letters sent by her estranged sister. This is, however, met with the condition of Jane not having to reach out to her family.
Also, in the fifth episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, Rafael, played by Justin Baldoni, will discover something unusual with Petra, portrayed by Yael Grobglas. Jane and Rogelio, played by Jaime Camil, will then help Michael and Rafael by tring to make them act civil toward each other.
The promo for the next "Jane the Virgin" episode also portrays an unbelievably awkward gym moment between Michael and Rafael. While Michael continues to babble while Rafael is serious in working out, the awkwardness just builds up. "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 Episode 5 will air on Monday, November 14, at 9PM on The CW.
