Craving a taste of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire? Well, good news: you can now calm that burning desire, as you feast your eyes on the official Catching Fire film poster.
Lionsgate revealed the movie poster on Tuesday, and also created an Instagram account just for the highly anticipated Hunger Games sequel.
In the spellbinding picture, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) stands at the summit of a dark mountain, wearing her trademark jacket and boots, complete with bow and arrow. The colorful clouds behind her resemble the wings of a mocking jay; the type of bird which plays a specific role in the movie.
"The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand," is quoted at the top of the poster.
The @TheHungerGames account was created on Instagram only 6 days ago and has just 6 photos, but already has drawn upwards of 42,000 followers and many enthusiastic and praising comments from eager fans awaiting the films November 22nd premier date.
The Hunger Games has finally come around to sharing pictures in the social world of Instagram, now imagine how crazy people would go if they added Vine to list of their social networking endeavors.
Vine is an app created by the geniuses that created Twitter, which allows users to share 6 second video clips. The clips can be edited as they are shot, simply by touching the screen of your smartphone during the time you wish to record. The videos then can be posted, similar to how tweets or Instagram pics are posted, hashtags and all.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire film poster was just released on Instagram, so naturally the next step is giving fans 6-second teasers via Vine, right? At least that's my vote. Not sure if that will happen, but let's remain optimistic, shall we?
