"Jurassic World 2" seems to be stepping on the gas a little bit more than what people think, as it was clarified by the team behind it. Moreover, the director has some appealing revelations pertaining to what the title might be about.
As some may be aware of, the hit film "Jurassic World" offered not just a sense of nostalgia to fans, but also a few new elements along the way. This raises the question as to what else can be expected from the sequel, given that it has a lot of hype riding on its back. "Jurassic World 2" may be a sequel, but director J.A. Bayona may have something else in mind for what he plans to do with it.
According to an interview with Coming Soon, Bayona revealed that "Jurassic World 2" is only a few months away from the dawn of their filming, namely by March of next year. For those unaware, Bayona is the one responsible for the upcoming hit "A Monster Calls" which many claim to be quite the competition. Given that Bayona is no stranger to science-fiction alike, the director said that there is more to expect from it.
Cinema Blend justified the supposed surprise factor that "Jurassic World 2" may have, as it could also serve as "Jurassic Park 5" in a way. Bayona said that there will be something more relevant to the original franchise than basing it entirely on the predecessor itself, which he takes pride in doing for the sequel. That being said, the bar certainly has gone way up from where it was once thought to be-especially with Bayona promising darkness and grim for "Jurassic World 2."
It was said that Bayona has put his back on the newly spawning franchise, as the director was quick to say that he makes "Jurassic World 2" his "baby" in the same manner that Steven Spielberg did with "Jurassic Park." In this case, the director of the original Colin Trevorrow gave some of his vantage points to Bayona, working together for the success of the title.
"Jurassic World 2" is set to hit the theaters on June 22, 2018. Stay tuned for more news and updates here at GamenGuide.
